I live in Houston. I should be able to train outside year round. Of course, my tri friends up north do, so I guess I'm soft.
Training is going well. Last week was an "off" week, then hitting it again this week. Today I signed up for the Lonestar Half Ironman in April. I plan to use this race to test my pacing and nutrition strategies. That will be the longest race I've done...until May 21. Greyson has been trying to calculate how long it will take me to race the Ironman. He came up with 14 hours and 2 minutes. I like the way he thinks, though he may be a bit optomistic. I could hit his paces on the swim, bike or run, but when you do them all back to back, it's not so simple. The marathon at the end is my biggest concern. I'm not a runner.
Just finished my evening workout. Going to eat a bit then head to bed.
